BlitzWeekend is looking for sponsors
October 22nd, 2007
As you might be aware, organizing a large event like a BlitzWeekend requires a large area and this has been very problematic so far. SAT, although free, is not available until January and Concordia, well, is expensive.
So the BlitzWeekend organizers are looking for sponsors to help pay the fees. If you know anyone working for a large company willing to help us then please let me know and I will communicate with them to explain what the project is about. Similar events (ex: StartupWeekends) were very successful and we hope to gather a lot of teams and offer nice prizes. However, sponsorship doesn’t have to be in cash (or material). For example, if you are a mentor and wish to offer a few hours of your time as a prize, then you are most welcomed to contact us. If your brother in law has a restaurant, then food will gladly be accepted too! Coders need food too..!
So if you think that you can help, please let me know (denis@quebecvalley.com) and I thank you in advance!
